Åsa Lauenstein is Senior Researcher at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and monitors industrial research and development projects for metal castings and cast products. I her research activities, she strives to introduce novel techniques in the tradtitional foundry, often using the foundry test and demonstration facility at RISE in Jönköping. She has a doctor's degree in Materials Chemistry from Uppsala University and former experience from materials and process development in Swedish steel industry.
