Christian Weiß gratuated with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the university of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2017. During his studies, he specialized in the fields of laser technology as well as polymer technology. Since 2017, he works at the Fraunhofer ILT, Aachen, as Research Assistent in the Group of Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF). His research interest is focussed on powder behavior and its effect on part properties in LPBF.
