I studied at the Institute of Plant Engineering and Fatigue Analysis IMAB at the Clausthal University of Technology and wrote a Ph. D.-Thesis about “Cyclic material behaviour under constant and variable amplitudes loading”. After that I worked as a test engineer within a German automobile supplier. Since 2008 I am working at the Fraunhofer for Structural Durability and System Reliability LBF and since 2012 I am heading the group “Component related material behavior” within the Fraunhofer LBF which deals with the experimental characterization of the cyclic material behavior of metals and the influences on this behavior.
