Maximilian Binder studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). During his studies he worked at the material and process development department of EOS GmbH, before he completed his master’s thesis on the additive manufacturing of metallic lightweight structures. Since 2016 he is employed at Fraunhofer IGCV and currently working on his PhD at the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb), TUM, with the focus on the automatic manufacturing of smart parts during the LBM process.
