I did an apprenticeship as toolmaker at DIEHL Defense Holding in Germany. I then studied Mechanical engineering design and production engineering at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany with Prof. Weber, who is today at TU Ilmenau. I post-graduated at the chair of materials technology at the Saarland University, Germany, my doctoral supervisor was Prof. Hirt, today RWTH Aachen.I have over three years of professional experience as project manager in the R&D department for advanced technologies at Eberspächer Exhaust systems. Since 2008 I have a professorship for CAE and Rapid Prototyping at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg, Germany and Head of Laboratory for Rapid Prototyping. I am the author of several books about cloud based CAD and 3D Printing.
