Irina Smolina is an assistant professor at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. She has been involved in materials research for additive manufacturing at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology for over seven years. She is passionate about new technologies and polish AM community development. The key focus of her activity is laying on the research in the field of materials development for industrial additive manufacturing and organizing events. Her principal interests are processing high-temperature alloys and superalloys in additive manufacturing technologies. She specializes in the analysis of the structure and properties of metal materials produced by AM (SLM, EBM, laser cladding) methods.
