Marie Jurisch has a diploma in mechanical engineering from TU Dresden and is working as a research assistant at Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials (IFAM) since 2011. For eight years she has been focusing on material research and process development in additive manufacturing. Since 2017 she is working in the field of electron beam melting. Her current research focuses on materials that are difficult to weld, such as tool steels. Besides, she is doing here PhD on the topic of powder metallurgy of titanium and titanium alloys by 3D screen printing.
